The Travelling Film Festival returns to Lismore Cinemas this September, bringing a standout line-up of acclaimed Australian and international cinema to the Northern Rivers.

Presented by the Sydney Film Festival, the Travelling Film Festival is Australia’s longest-running travelling film festival, created to connect regional communities with outstanding films, filmmakers and festival experiences that may not otherwise reach local screens. More than just a film program, it’s a celebration of storytelling, culture and community - giving regional audiences the chance to experience bold, thought-provoking and entertaining cinema right here in Lismore.

This year’s Lismore program will feature a curated selection of festival favourites across four days, including Australian stories, international features, documentaries and special events. Opening Night will be held in The BIG Screen with Whistle - a joyful, distinctly Australian documentary and one of the highlights of this year’s tour. Warm, funny and full of heart, Whistle is the perfect film to launch a weekend of exceptional cinema.
